Detroit 2008: Mercedes introduced the new SLK
Mercedes-Benz showed in Detroit renewed its SLK 350 (roof closed) and SLK 55 AMG 2009 (cabriolet). While the platform on which they are built is unchanged, both models have been retocados at their ends to bring their lines to those of their older siblings, SL and SLK. If that gives or not a good outcome, it is something we will leave to the opinion of each.
The engines available are three. According to the mark, the unit four-cylinder 184 horsepower and the SLK 200 Kompressor and the V6 305 hp SLK 280 and the SLK 350 is the most economical in their use, have lower levels of CO2 emissions and provide a substantial improvement in its power . For his part, the V8 located under the bonnet of the SLK 55 AMG has not received improvements and maintains its 360 horses. The three new models in the range SLK use of a standard six-speed mechanical box, while the SLK 55 AMG retains its automatic transmission speeds of seven sports 7G-TRONIC.
